Introduction

My name is David Goldman and I’m a triker. For those of you who don’t know, a recumbent trike, which is what I ride, is a “bicycle” of sorts. It is low to the ground, has two wheels in front, one in back and the seat is reclined back. Why do I ride such a contraption? Because it’s EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE AND FUN!

Regarding me, at the time of this intro I am 63 years old, married and living in the suburbs of Chicago. I suppose there’s a lot more to tell but that’s what this blog is for!

Why am I doing this? That is, why am I posting these journal-like essays on a public forum? When I ride all kinds of thoughts go through my mind – memories,  questions, answers and more. I like the idea of having them written down somewhere. Or in this case, stored on a server somewhere in the world. Why do it publicly? I’m curious to see if any of what I write strikes a chord with you, the reader. Was what I spoke of interesting? Do you agree or disagree? Was it funny? Was it poignant? Does any of it connect with you? Please let me know by commenting!

I hope you enjoy reading my offerings. I will try to stay away from any controversial subjects (politics), although you may already be scratching your head and thinking, why is he riding that thing?

In any case, if you do enjoy these posts, please subscribe and tell others about this blog.

And thank you!
